The SIS Owls Girls softball team won their third consecutive Midget Girls Championship on Wednesday at the VIV Field in Summerside with a hard fought 17-10 victory over the Hernewood Huskies. Kate Cashin, pitching her second game of the day, struck out 7 and hung on for the victory. Jennifer Dillon led the Owls with 3 hits including a grand slam home run while Marissa Pettipas and Brooke Blanchard chipped in with two hits apiece.
SIS advanced to the final by defeating Montague 4-3 in the semi final with Kate Cashin hitting a home run and a double and Marissa Pettipas getting two hits.
