1. Thanks again to all band members for an AWSOME show to a completely sold-out theatre last night. You out-did yourselves again. Given all the challenges you faced this week with missing 1 day and a ton of technical breakdowns and delays yesterday, you all stepped up and did an amazing job.
Furthermore - and this is the best part - Mrs Caissy and Mr. Gallant wish to thank grade 9 band members for being "touch notch" model musicians and people yesterday at the theatre. The example you set during the day made for an excellent evening on stage and especially "backstage" for parents and staff supervising. This also means a big THANKYOU to the grade 7 and 8 band members for taking it to the next level last night and really being AWESOME backstage and following directions to a "T". You demonstrated what real musicianship and cooperation are all about and made SIS - your school - look great! . THANK YOU!
2. Thanks to Mrs. Caissy and all staff members who, once again, kept things organized and moving smoothly for the shows. Thanks Mr. "J" for the cool slide show and the built-in "insults"! IT was worth it!!!!
3. Loading crew members are asked to meet Mr. Gallant at 10:00am to unload the truck......
4. The 2 band classes scheduled for today are cancelled in order to reassemble the band room and equipment.
5. Band members are asked to return uniforms to the bins just inside the band room door sometime today.
6. No rehearsals at 8am or noontime next week! Band classes will be held as usual though.
7. There are still 6 cookie dough orders to be picked -up.......please get them this morning!
8. Ticket money and tickets from the Sobey's grocery gift certificate can be passed in anytime.
